Social Justice Committee

The Social Justice Committee are the eyes and ears of all that is unfair to people who are on the receiving end of policies, programs, and practices that prohibit them from being fully engaged in their self-determination. As Social Workers come in to contact with these injustices on a daily basis, they are in a unique position to take responsibility to step up and address these issues.

A conduit for this discourse is the Social Justice Committee. By listening, researching and debating all that is unjust, the Social Justice Committee can inform Council of actions that need to be taken on behalf of the College. The goal is for the profession of Social Work in Nova Scotia to be seen as a critical partner in the promotion of social justice for all.
