Professional Identity: Building Leadership in Social Work Practice (Yarmouth)

This workshop is rooted in participatory learning and will engage participants by;

  • Identifying the historical development of the professional social work identity;
  • examining the current tensions and conflicts that exist within contemporary practice;
  • investigate strategies and tactics for establishing a clear social work voice within Nova Scotia. 

The workshop will explore concepts of professional resistance and tools and practices to utilize a social justice anti-oppressive lens with large systems.
