Standards of Practice for Clinical Specialists
Social work practiced in any field is grounded in seven core values which give rise to general and specific ethical responsibilities as outlined in the NSCSW Code of Ethics (2025). The values are:
- Respecting the Dignity and Worth of All People
- Promoting Social Justice
- Pursuing Truth and Reconciliation
- Valuing Human Relationships
- Preserving Integrity in Professional Practice
- Maintaining Privacy and Confidentiality
- Providing Competent Professional Services
