Reporting to the Executive Director, the Family Support Team lead is a social worker who works from an attachment-based trauma-informed lens to ensure the team and agency adheres to the code of ethics and standards of practice. The Family Support Team Lead coordinates and supervises the Individual Parenting Support Program and the Positive Parenting Groups. The Family Support Team Lead supports a well-established team of full and part-time service providers.
Supports, leads, and mentors a strong team of Family Support Workers and families
Leads from a strength-based collaborative approach
Facilitates both individual and group supervision using a reflective approach
Builds and promotes a culture of wellness, compassion, support, and open dialogue
Bachelor of Social Work and registration with Nova Scotia College of Social Workers
3-5 years experience working in a community setting
Valid Driver’s License with regular access to vehicle
Current Criminal Record Check, vulnerable sector check, and Child Abuse registry check.
