This workshop is rooted in participatory learning and will engage participants by;
- Identifying the historical development of the professional social work identity;
- examining the current tensions and conflicts that exist within contemporary practice;
- investigate strategies and tactics for establishing a clear social work voice within Nova Scotia.
The workshop will explore concepts of professional resistance and tools and practices to utilize a social justice anti-oppressive lens with large systems.
