May 13-14, 2022 — In a world where everything has changed, and is changing, our professional mandate to work toward social justice is more relevant than ever, and invites us to consider our unique role as social workers in leading necessary and long-awaited transformation. Our annual 2-day conference in May virtually gathers Nova Scotia’s social work community to explore new perspectives and skills to deliver crucial services in a changed landscape.

April 29, 2022 — Mini-conference on compassionate relational care in health and social sectors through animal-assisted intervention (AAI)

March 4 2022 — Mini-conference on challenges and opportunities of serving Nova Scotians who face intimate partner violence during the pandemic.

December 2, 2021 — The theme for next year’s conference is “Social Work Leading Transformational Change in 2022.” We’re inviting presentation proposals for social workers to share their knowledge about transformational leadership in the context of our profession. The deadline for submissions has been extended to January 21, 2022.

We’re gathering Nova Scotia’s social work community at the annual NSCSW Conference in May 2021 to collaboratively develop our social justice praxis.
