October 6, 2022 — The Council of the NSCSW is accepting letter of intent from any members interested in joining the College’s clinical committee. Apply no later than November 6, 2022.

May 5, 2022 — Red Dress Day, also called the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls & Two-spirit People, is an annual day of remembrance and action that stretches from coast to coast to coast. NSCSW Council has committed to a decolonization framework to support social workers in addressing these urgent calls to action.
28 Jun, 2020 − To accommodate and to encourage personal self-care and reflection, and as well as to maintain safety in our practice, the Board of Examiners and Council of the College are temporarily amending the Professional Development Requirements policy for 2021.

We became an official College over a year ago on May 16th, 2016 when the Executive Council of the Nova Scotia Government amended the Social Workers Act. Protecting the public became the College’s priority. The amendments also renewed the College’s commitment to promote the values… Read more »
